I love Judy Blume

photo from amazon

Judy oh Judy, your stories were so magical to me when I was a young girl. "Are You There God, It's Me Margaret" was an integral part of my adolescence. And "Deenie"? So good. I could go on for days about all of your fantastic books. I just wanted to tell you that I love you, I love your books, and I recommend them to my girl students all of the time. You are amazing.

  6. Judy Blume and Babara Park were THE definitive authors of my childhood!! Yay for your students carrying on the awesomeness!

  7. I loved Are You There God? It's Me, Margaret too! I read it a billion times.

  8. I think I'm the only girl of our generation who hasnt read a Judy Blume book! I need to read them, I've heard lots quoted from Are You There God, recently! x

  9. Ah Freckle Juice and Tales of a Fourth Grade Nothing!!!

I totally forgot about her!! I agree with your other comments, she is definitely the reason I read so much. I hope teachers are still recommending her to kids these days...glad to hear you are!!

I never read Are You There God? Its Me Margaret I think I'll have to go out and get it! LOL its not bad for a 27 year old to read a young adult book right?? :)

  10. oh my gosh!

"are you there god it's me margaret?". how did i ever forget about that book?

"we must...we must....we must increase our busts!"

  11. are you there God? it's me margaret it got me through the awkward stage, or rather made it less awkward :)

  12. I had to read Forever by Judy Blume for one of my grad classes a few years ago. Whoa. I'm slightly embarrassed to admit that the sexuality in that book sorta turned me on, in a teenage kinda way. LOL.
