You kind of seem like a snob to me. Sort of prissy... Always wearing dresses, always manicuring your nails. Don't get me wrong, I think it's fine to take care of yourself, but the way you come off is like "No WAY I wouldn't ever wear jeans... " Why do you feel the need to be so snobby about things that alot of other people like. As with all things on a blog I'm sure not everyone feels like I do. Your mannerisms just seem uppity to me and I wonder if you ever think beyond your "dress up" photos? Do you ever do any community help? Do you ever get out of your house and do anything for anyone else?
A couple of things, and then I promise I won't waste any more time on this silliness, and I also promise I won't ever repost another rude submission (unless they're hilarious, like this one). First, I don't like jeans! AHH sin of sins! There, I said it. And OF COURSE I am saying this to make all people who wear them feel bad about themselves. Because dresses are better than pants, and anyone who wears pants is dumb. Clearly. Helloooo, I think jeans are uncomfortable. Annoying waistband, rough fabric...no thank you! I wasn't aware that avoiding uncomfortable clothing items made me a snob. If it does, then sign me up, sista!
Secondly, I'm a teacher! I "get out of my house" everyday and work with teenagers...teaching them to read, helping them become better people, all that good stuff. Annd, I actually enjoy it. C'mon...you should at least read back in my blog before you made a rude assumption like that, you meanie.
Jeez Louise! Sorry for this little bit of negativity but I just had to share! I've seen so many of my friends get rude/mean comments on their formsprings that I felt like I've been waiting for this day to come. And today, I have officially joined their club. So thanks, anon! <33
Jeez Danielle! you are SOOO snobby! ;)
ReplyDelete<3
"uppity"? seriously? if you wore Vuitton from head to toe and bragged about your multiple yachts, I can see that as a "uppity" but you wanting to look nice being a problem?? So ridiculous. I love how you wear dresses all the time, and women should take care of themselves even if they have the time for it. If anything, you are encouraging others (including myself) to be more "uppity" ;)
ReplyDeletePeople are so silly. I don't wear jeans much either due to the same things you listed! They are just not that comfortable to some people but many other people adore them, to each its own! And about the taking care of yourself, being cute is never a crime! ♥
ReplyDeleteGreat blog
ReplyDeletehaha i had seen on twitter where you said you got a mean comment and i was wondering what it was about lol, that's kinda silly...i hope that person thinks twice about leaving rude comments...
ReplyDeleteWe love you. The end. :))
ReplyDeleteLOL! Maybe she should "do community help" instead of reading bogs she obviously doesn't care for and then leaving rude comments! so funny, i'm glad you posted :)
ReplyDeletefunny. you're adorable!
ReplyDeletehaha! I don't think wearing dresses and doing your nails would make anyone snobby! I'm a jean wearer but I wish I could wear dresses everyday. Love your blog! :)
ReplyDeleteWOW! That was not what I expected when you said "rude" comment. That was down right mean! I'm so sorry that someone posted such nonsense, and hopefully it doesn't continue happening.
ReplyDeleteLike i said before, I'd really have to rack my brain pretty hard to think of one negative thing about you.. you're awesome!
& I second what, "skunkboycreatures" said, we love ya-the end. :)
i've gotten those on my blog before, sadly. 'I HAVE EXPENSIVE THINGS TOO, I JUST DON'T PHOTOGRAPH THEM FOR EVERYONE TO SEE!'
ReplyDeleteerm, well...alright.
i think you are fine the way you are, don't change. let people be negative.
haha what an idiot
ReplyDeletei actually dont think they've ever read your blog!
In no way would I call you uppity or a snob!
People have too much time on their hands x
Goodness! That was a downright unnecessary amount of grump. I am also on the side of dresses and the occasional bit of girly self care, and I really don't think that there is a darn thing wrong with that if it's your preference. I'm glad that you can take negativity like this with such a level head. You are a real peach, Danielle.
ReplyDeletehahaha, oh my goodness. obviously her mother never taught her that if you don't have anything nice to say, don't say anything at all?! good thing you are out there teaching others the importance of this. you are adorable in all of your lil' dresses. i envy your style, and the ability to pull off such cute outfits. and i LOVE jeans, but i would never hold the fact that you hate them against you. loves <3
ReplyDeleteaaa, people on the internet. you know that wouldn't have been said to your face. we both know anonymous is alone in that boat. just let her float.. and then sink.
ReplyDeleteHilarious! Excuse you for being a lady!
ReplyDeleteI wish I could throw out my jeans and wear dresses all the time! I agree, so uncomforable and its hard to find a good fit anyway no matter your shape or size!
Aw what an awful person! You are definitely not a snob! I have been following your blog for quite a while and I think you absolutely lovely. You are sweet, caring, and extremely tolerant of the opinions of others. I never wear jeans either because they are uncomfortable and I don't find them very flattering on my body. I think that is a silly reason to call you uppity. I think your style is adorable!! I'm glad that this negative comment didn't seriously upset you! You would have a lot of followers ready to throw down if that were the case!
ReplyDeleteHA! I love it. Anonymous haters are the best. I get them all the time. I was snob for making my child's baby food. Oh and one time I was told I look like a man. Good stuff.
ReplyDeleteI like you, even if you are a snobby, dress wearing, lazy teacher. ;)
Oh man, people are stupid and jealous! You are everything except what this mean person said about you!! This is ridiculous! I agree with what you answered... I wear jeans pretty much everyday but I don't like them ever! Yes, jeans are uncomfortable, this is a fact! Personally, I cannot dress up with my job because I get very dirty so this is why I wear them! If could I will have your style everyday :) I think and even if i don't know you as a friend, I am just a blogger reader, that you are a very sweet and talented woman!
ReplyDeleteoh dear. you don't come off as a snob at all! you are such an encourager, a sweetheart, and completely open-minded when it comes to peoples' differences. where did this person get this?!
ReplyDeletehaha. welcome to the internet.
ReplyDeleteSO sillies. love you.
Ha! Ridiculous! At least the haters are severely out-numbered here =)
ReplyDeleteoh the crazy that is the anonymous.
ReplyDeleteI disabled my formspring. I don't like the anonymity. Or the 1 extra social media website to keep up with
xo
i'm a new reader to your blogger, and first of all - i absolutely adore your blog and all that you choose to share with the world! second, you in no way come across snobby. i have to say, that anon comment made me laugh out loud! people are ridiculously silly. oh boy. how lame. please take your negativity somewhere else.
ReplyDeletealso... i have a hard time liking pants, jeans, anything of the sort. more power to people who like them, though! sometimes i wish i did... but i honestly prefer dresses and skirts. it's just how i am. but i don't think that makes me a snob? everyone like different things. so?
I wear jeans. I have one pair. They don't really fit right. I typically hate wearing them unless I am too lazy to put something together. I don't blame you! It's near impossible to find a great pair. There are millions of brands and cuts out there. My best friend spends HUNDREDS of dollars on a pair of jeans. They look good on her to don't get me wrong and she has ADORABLE style. She also says, you will never really find a truly great pair unless you spend $$$$. 1 pair of her amazing fit jeans= at least 3 dresses from Modcloth or 1 or 2 from Anthropologie. I suppose you are just a gal after my own heart. Ok that was long, but puhlease!
ReplyDeletewhat a ridiculous person! I will never understand why some people feel the need to attack others on their own blogs. And do you notice that it is always done anonomously. I mean if you going to attack some atleast be grown up enough to not have to hide whyour identity.
ReplyDeleteWell just know you have hundreds of other readers that think you are fantastic and we love your blog!
how utterly ridiculous! the comment... not you! if someone thinks you're a snob then why the heck do they read your blog! c'mon! that's just dumb. we all have opinions on matters and if people don't like it, don't read it! and i have to say, you don't come off as a snob at all. i enjoy all your posts and all your pretty pictures of you in your pretty outfits! you make me want to wear dresses more often... jeez, that comment got me irked and it wasn't even directed at me.
ReplyDeleteby the way, thanks for entering the giveaway i was super excited to see your comment since i've been a follower of yours for some time. i enjoy your blog immensely!
i hope you have a lovely sunday night.
xx
Wow, I can't believe people can be so mean. I think people like that are just jealous and bitter. Glad you aren't taking it seriously.
ReplyDeleteOuch, this is the problem with everyone having the internet. Such comments are not needed. There is enough negativity without such things.
ReplyDeleteNot that I agree with this girl in any sense- part of the reason I follow your blog is because you seem so relate-able..
ReplyDeleteBut I really don't like the notion that there isn't room in the blogging world for *constructive* criticism. I have left a few fashion blogs now because of the girls' insistence on only positive comments. I never made any comments myself, but didn't like the concept and it seemed like they were just fishing for compliments.
As this proves, people can be mean. This is not the kind of comments I mean. Telling someone that you love their top and skirt combination, but you think the skirt might look a little better an inch shorter.. I don't consider that negative.
I'm not a fashion blogger, I'm a travel blogger; so maybe I'm wrong, but I thought one of the main reasons to post outfits would be to get feedback- like asking friends from all over if they think these shoes match.
I do really enjoy your blog though. It's always fun to see new ways of creating young, teaching appropriate outfits. We live in an odd realm.
lol...that one really made me laugh! you´re really snobby, danielle, did I never told you?? lol
ReplyDeletexoxo trine
what a really negative person!what would even make people want to say that to someone?!that person must really have some anger in them to take it out on someone they don't know, and obviously don't want to put the time into getting to know (ie. reading your blog).
ReplyDeletetake no notice lovely, maybe this person should take a look at themselves before launching a character asassination against someone as lovely and friendly as you xxxx
haha! perfectly handled situation, danielle.
ReplyDeleteawww. Whatta meanie!
ReplyDeleteGood for you for staying positive!
People are so lame sometimes!
ReplyDeletewowo how rude!! I never understood why girls are so catty. I mean I get the high school years and all but come on. Danielle is so incredibly sweet.. ugh people like that obvioulsy have their own insecurities and are putting it on others. Danielle, your awesome, keep doing what you do :)
ReplyDeletexoxo,
Lindsay
Obviously this "anon" person feels terrible about themselves so they have to cut you down to feel better. I came across your blog a few days ago and I think you are adorable! Don't worry. There are so many negative people out there. God Bless!
ReplyDeletei am so glad that this poster said something. I mean working with you everyday is a chore. You never have anything nice to say nor do you ever offer any words of encouragement. i am fairly certain most of your students dislike you. and when i wear jeans, the judgemental looks you through my way could turn me to stone. there i said it. so glad i got that off my chest. ok all of that was sarcastic silliness.
ReplyDeleted: you are a genuine diamond filled with a sweet creamy center. you are as beautiful on the outside as on the in. we all have a bit of xenophobia in us. perhaps this is one of my tree hugging sisters who just doesn't get it. you are loved.
*throw not through*
ReplyDeleteRidiculous! Formspring is a dangerous place. I've reopened mine, but comments like this make me wonder why?! I'm sorry you had to get this comment. :[ It really makes me sad that people are so rude and they won't even confront you to your face!
ReplyDeleteI wear jeans everyday. Your choosing to wear cute dresses has never once made me feel insecure or snobbed out about my jeans???? Hmmmmm..... I find this commenter's comments quite SNOBBY against all who choose cute dresses!
ReplyDeletehaha WOW. sounds like someone is just jealous about what a lovely person you are!:)
ReplyDeleteI hate jeans too! I'm all about dresses and skirts! You're lovely :)
ReplyDeleteoh my gosh, the nerve of some people.
ReplyDeletei just hate that when you're having a really good day and are feeling good with so many nice comments, someone has to ruin it.
i had my first negative comment a few months back and it really upset me, i just didn't find it necessary!
danielle, you are beautiful! that's just who you are, and if this negative nancy actually read all of your entries, she wouldn't dare say something so not true.
ps ; all i wear is dresses! honestly...i have so many and that is what i feel most comfortable in. i don't own one pair of jeans because i find them uncomfortable and i just LOVE dresses, they make me happy and they are just so cute! :) people always comment on the fact that i always wear them! and i just say...it's because i love wearing a dress, and being a girly girl. that floats my boat
well, i know you wouldn't let this comment get to you this much, because you're like the most popular girl in the blog world! and rightfully so, you write about real things, and sweet and sincere things, and you're not sometimes sweet, you're always sweet!
xoxo
Wow what a jerk. I mean really coming down on someone because they were dresses. This person needs to get a life and finding something better to rant and rave about.
ReplyDeletethe person CLEARLY doesnt know you. you are extremely kindhearted and just an all around lovely human being. jealously is a STINKY perfume!!!!
ReplyDeleteUppity? Is this the 1950's?
ReplyDeleteShe sounds like the snob to me.
well...that isn't nice of them.
ReplyDeletei think you're lovely.
oh dear, yes, you are soo snobby..where do these pople get their stuff from, seriously, and they never leave a name either, which only works against them, who can take those kind of comments seriously if they don´t even dare to stand for who they are...anyways, love your blog, xxx
ReplyDeleteThat's hilarious. It's such a ridiculous comment. Gotta hate dem uppity bitches.
ReplyDeleteHey Danielle!
ReplyDeleteI can't get over some people they are just so obnoxious!
I finally started a blog! Please read it if you can. xo
they could have said something to you about this in a nicer way if thats possible. maybe its cause they saw photos of all your nice things. not every one has everything they want. people can get jealous
ReplyDeleteyou're so sweet + beautiful! :)
ReplyDeleteI think it's good to address things when they are down right out of line. Even though that was silly, it was out of line for that person to say those things. What happened to live and let live? If they don't like you, don't read the blog!
ReplyDeleteA/C
http://fakingfashionbyac.blogspot.com/
I think you're lovely. Nuff said.
ReplyDeleteI just wanted to say that I wear Jeans and don't take offense to the fact that you don't.
ReplyDeleteThis is too funny.
people are silly. don't mind them.
ReplyDelete<3
such silliness!
ReplyDeletesome people are dumb and cannot understand that being rude is equal to being a snob [which you are not btw] so by spouting their nasty, ill-thought out comments they are the ones behaving badly.
jeeze..i think it is them that have TOO much time on their hands!
ignore them i say! i love your pretty dresses! it wish i could wear them; but deep down i am a tomboy and am a jeans and tshirt kind girl. it makes my day to see your lovely outfits so keep on being your amazing self
♥
I really, really cannot get past the fact that this person used the word "uppity!" Simultaneously the funniest and worst thing of the day.
ReplyDeleteoh my my, how sad is it that someone actually felt the need to sit and write such a awful comment to you. don't pay any attention to it, she's just jealous, so sad she felt the need to do that. you're adorable and so is your blog (and i agree with diana; i LOVE your dresses! hehee :) continue being who you are and writing what you want. you've done nothing wrong! i happen to love your blog. :) xo
ReplyDeletewow, what a little shit! haha
ReplyDeletejealous much??? you know people who say crap like that are just so unhappy with themselves that they find someone that they see as prettier/smarter/funnier/better than themselves and try to knock them down. how ignorant that she doesn't realize this about herself. poor little girl she is!
That's hilarious. Not once have I ever seen you write anything that was bad towards anyone else or that sounded like you think you're above anyone else. You just tell your opinion. It's sad that people are mean because they're jealous that you're so cute all the time.
ReplyDeleteI can't believe this! I follow your blog regularly, but have never commented and I just feel a need to. I don't think you come off snobby at alllllllll. Just because you like to wear dresses and paint your nails? That's so silly. If anything, I think EVERY post of yours is sweet and nice. And I've read alot. Who is this person to judge you? It's so silly. Just keep doing what you're doing. Thanks for all of your encouraging posts and lovely words.
ReplyDeleteWow... if you don't like the blog, don't read it!
ReplyDeleteI think you're wonderful!
She's just jealous coz you're awesome haha! xo
ReplyDeleteDear Miserable in Missouri-
ReplyDeleteTake a deep breath, it's the Internet. Life is too short.
Sincerely,
Someone who doesn't like you picking on her BFF.
how ridiculous!! people can be so ignorant and they have way too much time on their hands!
ReplyDeleteJealousy can rear its ugly head at any moment on these public blogs. Keep your perfectly groomed and beautiful head held high! We love you!
ReplyDeleteWell handled. I was just thinking today how brave you were for putting yourself out there for people to ask questions anonymously and how self-assured and positive you were with your answers.
ReplyDeleteThat first mean comment is kind of a right of passage online isn't it.
Oh my. All you can do is laugh at the ridiculousness of it. There's constructive criticism (which none of that was) and there's just being downright mean.
ReplyDeleteFrom the posts I've read in your blog (which he/she obviously didn't) I can tell you're a sweetheart. I have mucho respect for you for being a teacher. (I wish I had cool teachers like you when I was in high school! Haha.)
Keep your chin up, Danielle, and keep doing what you're doing!
Sad to say, but negative comments seem to be a right of passage for popular bloggers. Frankly, I never "got" that you're a snob. I guess I am as well because I don't like/wear jeans, and I exclusively wear dresses and skirts. I was called a snob because of this in high school, so maybe this comment came from one of your students. It's about as sophisticated as a teen's comment might be.
ReplyDeleteYou can't please everyone. There will always be someone that will pick apart everything you do because of some underlying cause which is usually jealousy. You're as cute as a button so keep being cute, darling!
ReplyDeleteLOL! Wow! That was downright uncalled for but well handled lady! She'll probably be back later too. Some people are just unbelieveable. They can't get what they want out of life because they're so negative towards it. Just keep doing you and putting out those good vibes. We love you and that's what matters.
ReplyDeleteDon't worry, the things I get are 10000x worse. Its like people are trolling my formspring just for the hell of it. Don't let them get you down, I always have fun with it lol. :)
ReplyDeletehttp://candidnoir.blogspot.com
of course its anon. people with Stupid (yes i said Stupid) opinions are too chicken*shiz to own their words. Makes me laugh. What a wimp.
ReplyDeleteDo your thang girl! But do post the ridiculous ones... it's funny! lol
hahahahahahahahahaha what a dumb ASS bitch!!! so funny at what shes upset at! get off that Hateraid girl!!! shiiiii
ReplyDeleteOh puh-leeze! Some people just need to keep their comments to themselves. I don't find you snotty or stuck up at all! And even if you don't like wearing jeans, you aren't saying that no one else should either. What a punk!
ReplyDeleteThey probably just needed a cupcake that day.
hahaha, people.
ReplyDeleteHaha~ sounds like a mean jealous monster!
ReplyDeletewow! she took the time to write all that? shes got problems!
ur cute
xo
B
Oh Danielle, some people just need to be mean to others. That sucks that it was directed at you. I love jeans, and I still think you are awesome.
ReplyDeleteI'm so sorry that you had to experience such silliness and rudeness! Ugh...Grrr.... sometimes when people are unhappy with themselves or just having a bad day, they take it out on others. I LOVE dresses and skirts, and I also love jeans. You are entitled to your opinion, like everyone else. I didn't get the impression that you were snobby because you didn't like jeans. And I don't feel bad for liking them. :) Continue to be who YOU are and forget this silly comment. xo RobbieLee
ReplyDeleteP.S. Thanks for sharing!
