Hello, hello!

cheesy thank you photo for my blog :)

I've gained a lot of new readers over the past few weeks, and I'd love it if you would tell me about yourself in the comments! How did you find your way here? Also be sure to include a link to your blog so I can hop over and say hello too, and maybe my readers can find a new blog or two they haven't discovered yet! :)

Thank you so much for taking the time to read what I have to say, I appreciate it so very much. This cheesy photo is all for you! ;) I also really want you to know that your sweet and positive comments make my day, everyday. Thank you, thank you, thank you!

  9. Hello, there! Elsie seems to be giving you loads of new readers! Hoorah!

My name is Morgan. I live in the the Pilsen area of Chicago (if you don't know much about Chicago neighborhoods, you should look into it, quite an interesting history). To survive and give back, I am a social worker by trade. A humanitarian, feminist activist through and through. When I have time, usually on the weekends, I craft and take pictures and try to live a creative life. Really, my passions are pointing in so many directions, I look like an * with arrows on the tips.

  27. I started reading recently =) I caught a link from A Beautiful Mess I believe-- I love all the RVA girls and their inspiration!

However, I found you to be particularly interesting as I share your name, I spent a year in Flagstaff and it is my dream to move back (as well as a lot of time in Arizona in general) and am currently half on my way to being a english/history high school teacher. I also share a stretching of the hair washing event, fondness for vegan-ism and a dog lover (although mine is much bigger than Madeline)!

So needless to say, I feel encouraged and inspired by you to keep moving towards becoming a teacher and keep being myself- which I am needing reminders for simply because my life diverts from yours with the baby I am expecting any day now!

So thank you for writing and sharing your pretty life!

  85. hmmmm I am not sure how I found you. Probably through the vintage weave of Bleubird's button's on her blog. :) I love to seek out other's pictures and daily musings to see if I truly am normal. No j/j. I get inspired by bloggers who post about life, love, photography, food, and real stuff. You seem real and I like that.

I am 35 and a mother of a 17 year old and 11 year old. You do the math. Yep, had to grow up fast! My daughter will be 18 next month and is graduating high school. She really is my best friend. We grew up together. I know people say don't be your kid's best friend, but we couldn't help it. We just LIKE each other! I give her time with her friends, but at the end of the day she and I get along great! Wow! I have wrote a book!

I live in Southwest Virginia on a farm. We don't run the farm, but I love taking pictures of the cows and haybales and beautiful sunrises. :)

Hit me up and say hi!

  86. Hi!! My name is Diamond, I have been reading for a while now but I don't think I ever really said much about myself. I'm 25 years old and reside in Houston, Texas. I currently am in the process of obtaining my teaching degree through the University of Houston. I have a 19 month old daughter, Chloe and have been married a little over a year.

I am in the process of starting a blog, in which I will also be starting an Etsy for vintage and handmade toddlers clothing.

You're such an inspiration, and a lot of your hobbies and loves are mine as well!

  87. I also found you through Elsie! I'm a mommy to a little girl born in China, I have an etsy store(chinamommy), I stay home and make art all day and dream of being famous, if you click on "chinamommy" above it will take you to my blog!

Well you are none of that and I would of loved that subject if you were teaching me. Love your blog and you are super cute.

It's funny how we start down these bloggy rabbit holes, and one thing leads to another and another. I'm not sure how exactly I came across your blog but it started with Blogging for Bliss book I received for my birthday in early Jan. Probably the next day I ran across your blog and have been following since.

I love to see your pictures from around Prescott, I lived there from the age of 5 - 19 and so I went to Prescott High School. I didn't realize you lived there when I first started following you.

I love tattoo Tuesday as well, I have 7.

I’m probably one of your more “mature” readers at 42 (as of yesterday) and I can pass for 28-32…stop laughing! It’s all thanks to good genes, oily skin, a very round face, and a refusal to grow up. I’m also a mother to three wonderful boys ages 14, 17, & 22 and married to a most excellent man. I’m in Colorado and work part-time and create full-time.

I really enjoy your blog. You are very endearing. Keep up the good work (love Tattoo Tuesday)!

  118. Hello there.
I found your blog because of Tattoo Tuesdays but stayed because you are awesome. I take it you teach English also? I teach Freshmen Honors English this year and would much rather have my Juniors back. But C'est la vie. I also have several tattoos (and am getting an arm piece soon) I would be interested to know how you "deal" with being a tattooed teacher? My school is super conservative and would NOT be okay with me showing off a tattoo. Anyway, keep writing! I will be around!!

  154. Oh dear, I meant to post here days ago. I've been following for some time now, and really do adore your blog. I found you through Elsie and am very happy I did. I especially like reading about your days at school. Teachers are amazing and I admire your work. I worked in the first grade last year as an aide for an autistic child. It was very hard in the beginning, but I stuck with it. It turned out to be the most fun and rewarding job I have ever had. I will never forget that year. I am now a server, it's not rewarding by any means, though I do have a good time. I get on well with all the employees, most of them are now very good friends of mine. I've recently realized after nearly marrying a horrible man that I am just 22 and should be having a good time with life. So that is what I am doing. After I finish my travels I will be taking a business course and an early childhood development course so that I can get my daycare off the ground with confidence. I also plan to take a photography and a sewing class just for fun! I love to paint, craft, and crochet. My name will link you to my blog. <3 Autley xxx

  158. I first saw this entry on the day you wrote it (thank you google reader, isn't it the best?) and I've been meaning to drop in and say hi, but it looks like you have a lot of comments to keep you busy for awhile. It's always nice when bloggers visit other fellow bloggers, so I appreciate you taking the time to do this.

On another note, I am completely smitten with your tattoo tuesday posts! I've been dreaming and planning my first tattoo for about four years now and finally decided I will do it in June (hopefully) in order to celebrate my graduation from college this spring. Whoo! Still not sure, but I have ideas :]

Anyway, I wanted to do a little mini series on my blog (similar to yours) about people's tattoos (mostly my friends and people from school) in order to prepare myself and also do some more research. I have so many tattoed friends that it'd be shame to not do it! I had the idea for awhile and then you started this is and I was like, "Woah! How perfect is this!" Great minds think alike ;]

I apologize for the long comment, but I wanted to let you know my appreciation for that weekly series! I hope you won't mind if I do that mini-series leading up to my first tattoo this summer!

Other than, I love your blog and I request that you put up more cute photos up of Madeline! She's pretty adorable.

    Take care!
    -Karen

  160. I came across your blog a couple days ago while searching "top 10 baby blogs" on google. Your's popped up and I just began to browse through it. I only read a couple entries, and discovered that we are a lot alike, you're someone I can relate to. Thus, I started reading your blog from the very beginning to end, and here I am three days into it. I can't wait to read what happens next. Have you considered putting this blog into a book?

Anyway, I am Katrina nice to meet you..if you'd like to follow my new blog feel free..or my website too. I'm a graphic designer by day, and a crafter by night :)
