Today...

smiley boy

smiling back at THAT KID right up there. I mean, look at that grin? How can you not smile?!

shopping around online for ellipticals. Have any of you bought a Precor machine? I think we're leaning that way, but I was curious if any of you had any input.

nursing Hank back to heath after he gets his wisdom teeth out later today. I swear I'm more freaked out than he is. I have a strange phobia with teeth and mouth things, and the idea of them pulling four teeth out of his mouth makes me want to throw up. edit: using the term "nursing back to health" when referring to your husband is kind of weird when you're breastfeeding. haha! Thanks Jess for pointing that out! Totally made me laugh out loud. :)

but, on a happier note, today is also for wishing one of my dear friends Shirley a happy birthday! Every year on Shirley's birthday I recall her 21st and vividly remember that wild and crazy night up in Flagstaff at NAU, and it makes me smile. It's so funny to think back to that evening and think of how much (but also so little!) has changed. We've celebrated a million birthday since then, we've all grown up, and even though we're all very different, we continually make new memories and move forward. I feel so lucky to have had such amazing times with such great girls. Happiest day Shirl girl, I love you! I can't wait to celebrate the big 2-9!

So, that's my day, how about yours?

  7. That's so funny because, as a nursing mom myself, I saw that "nursing back to health" and thought of breastfeeding! Good luck with your busy day!

  8. I have a precor! It is awesome, but my complaint is that my thighs bulk up really easily with lots of elliptical. If I weren't such a klutz I'd get a treadmill, but I'm so clumsy I think I'd break my neck on it.
But precors hold up well. Make sure you get a professional to balance it for you, or the noise will make you crazy. And buy a used one, of course.

  12. What a grin!

We're well through today here but it has been warm enough to spend it sitting outside and I have been busy working on my little business, hopefully on the way to making some little dreams come to fruition.

This evening is all about pasta - bring on the carbs! :)

Hope your hubby mends well. The nursing thing doesn't translate quite the same here in the UK but it still made me giggle

  16. You're certainly right... that is one adorable (happy) looking little man you have there! Hope the wisdom teeth pulling isn't too bad. I was terrified when I had to get mine pulled but it ended up being completely fine.

  17. Oh, man! you are tooo cute!
Oh, and that smile... Melted my heart!

I got my wisdom teeth out about two months ago, it was pretty easy, but when my "health lead" was over and I had to go back to work I wanted to DIE!
The worst part is the "non-eating", but hey! That's why soups and "milk"shakes are for... ;)

Hope Hank has a comfortable recovery. I hear of some people going through pain and some people who barely notice when they get theirs taken out.
