Then & Now: Happy Halloween!

It's amazing how much changes in a year. Last October we were anxiously awaiting Henry's arrival, putting up Halloween decorations and daydreaming about that next year when we'd be able to take our almost one-year old son trick-or-treating. Fast forward 12 months and Henry is here, and tonight we're taking him trick-or-treating. Looking back like this never ceases to amaze me with how quickly time goes by, but also how wonderful it is that in a year's time, life can become so much better than we'd ever imagined. Thinking like this makes me excited for next year, and wondering what will be happening then as I look back at this year and Henry's first Halloween.

Happy Halloween, everyone! I hope you have the most magical night full of spookiness, candy and fun. We'll be heading out with our little monster later tonight.

xoxo

  10. You three are the sweetest. It really is amazing how fast life can change :)

Henry looked so cute in his little monster costume you posted yesterday! There was a time when the only thing appealing about having children was taking them out for Halloween. Now I could probably fill a whole notebook with reasons to have some little ones someday, but Halloween will always be near the top.

  11. Happy Halloween! I know what you mean. This time last year I was in the hospital. I'd gone into preterm labor and we were praying that our daughter would stay put! It seems so bizarre to me that that was a year ago...

  16. Time flies by so fast! Our daughter is just a month old so we are kind of sitting Halloween out this year, but I am already coming up with decoration and costume ideas for when she can enjoy it more next year. Have fun trick-or-treating!
