SO gorgeous, I had not seen this yet! I am surprised as Sydney Australia is my home town! I'm very proud of this beautiful message, Thank you for sharing!
I posted this on my Facebook page a few days ago and have been showing everyone I know! It's a gorgeous video. And yes, it is SO time. I can't even believe this is still an issue!
Absolutely beautiful. Thank you for sharing. This issue is very personal and near and dear to my heart and I love when I see others, especially people who are married in a traditional heterosexual marriage, spread the message of acceptance and love for everyone.
Beautiful. I can't believe this is still an issue in America (and probably other places too?) where "all people are created equal",supposedly. But that's another story...thanks for sharing!
Not really sure how anyone, of any faith thinks they have the right to discriminate against anyone for any reason.
I hope and pray every day for equal rights for everyone. I have so many wonderful friends who are gay and/or transgendered and they are all just such beautiful souls, it kills me that people are ignorant enough to think they don't deserve equality.
I LOVE this. I've seen it on my friends' Facebook pages but I haven't watched it until now. It's absolutely beyond me how someone can see a couple deeply in love with one another and demand that they not get married. This is NOT about "to each their own" and this is NOT about differing opinions...these are HUMAN RIGHTS and they should not be voted on by anybody.
I just want to say thank you, Danielle, for posting this. Thank you thank you thank you. I've been reading your blog daily for the past year and a half all the way from Sydney, Australia (so it's quite cool to see it featured on your blog!) I come back every day because of your insightful, articulate, love-filled posts. By posting this video, you've got a reader for life in me :)
this is beyond beautiful. such a fun video, great music and bright colors. I see nothing but a fun loving person and a great story, a great life. thank you for sharing this video :)
@Kelly I'm so glad you could feel comfortable enough to voice your opinion here, even though it's the opposite of mine. I assumed a lot of my readers would disagree, but I feel very strongly about this issue so I decided to share it anyway. As always, thank you for reading. <3
I do journalism and I'm interviewing a gay man who's married to his partner and they've fostered two kids together. What a wonderful video. Love is love and if you find it, you're lucky. x
Thanks for the appreciation Danielle:) I didn't mention it to make changes or anything because it's not my blog. I actually like how you don't present it with putting down people who have different opinions like me. Though some of the readers seem not to like mine I still wouldn't have anything against the them for it, same goes for those who are gay-love them just not their sin. I say I love Jesus and will show it as well. There is so much more that I could explain of what I said but I'm going to keep it short:)
This video was very moving. I have many gay friends and i love them dearly and want them to be happy with their lives. I don't agree with their lifestyle choice, but I'm sick of people treating them unfairly. Sick of people giving them nasty looks.
I love this video. One of my best friends recently came out as a lesbian, and it took her over 33 years! She is in love, and wants to create a life with her partner. It's about love, people.
That was very beautiful! Thank you for sharing. I'm my brother and his partner are getting "married" next summer, but unfortunately they'll only be able to get a domestic partnership where they live.
I'm not sure if your "why?" was rhetorical, but in case it wasn't, I figure I'll answer you. Why? Because I firmly and strongly believe that ALL people are created equal and deserve ALL of the same rights. A person who is homoesexual should have EVERY right that heterosexuals have, as simple as that. I respect your opinion to disagree though, of course. Thanks for reading! <3
I once felt as you did. 'to each his own' type of thing. That was before I realized a man was and still is to be with a woman. Homosexuality is a sin just like any other and I do not hate the people who fall into this but I HATE the sin and what it's become. ( I won't even get too involved in how two of the same sex can't reproduce and pass around STDs) It's Not the way things are supposed to be, but I feel for the people who do this. If anyone who reads this agrees with me. Just pray.. It's all you can do.:(
I don't want to take up anymore of your space for this. It is rude and definitely not the place--but I would like to discuss this more through email, perhaps!? Let me know:)
What an incredible video!! :) Thanks for sharing, Danielle. I'll be posting this on my blog as well; it's such an important message, even if readers don't agree with me.
This truly is beautiful! I love the way it appeals to everyone's emotions, you can tell it's about true love, you can feel it. I think that people who disagree with same sex marriage often forget the fact that it's about loving another person above anything else. It seems like most people (like the anonymous one above) try to use the fact that same sex couples can't reproduce or that they spread STDs, but I really wonder if they married their opposite sex spouse ONLY because they need to reproduce? Somehow I doubt that. And also, STDs are spread by irresponsible individuals of all sexual orientations, blaming it on same sex couples is so petty.
@ Anonymous: I'm glad you posted how you feel but I hope you realize that writing "HATE" in capital letters in reference to the sin...all that stands out is the word "HATE" I'm a christian too, i understand what your saying and I also don't agree with the life style but i want to demonstrate LOVE to the people where they are at, regardless of their lifestyle. {John 8:7... "If any one of you is without sin, let him be the first to throw a stone..}
