Hank and I exchanged gifts quietly after everyone had gone to bed Christmas Eve, and we both got each other a couple of wonderful things that were nice surprises, including a new scarf and some cold-weather running gear for me. I got him a couple of shirts and a book on coffee. Simple but great. We naturally focus more on Henry during the holidays now, and it was so much fun to watch him open his presents that next morning.
I hope whatever you did, you had a great day filled with love. I know we sure did. There so many times I kind of took a step back in awe of how wonderful the day was.
Christmas Eve- (these are just photos from my parents' visit- we actually spent the evening at Hank's Mom's and it was a ton of fun too.)
Could I be anymore festive? ;)

Christmas day (feel free to make fun of our matching pajamas!)-

Now this is what Christmas is all about! I ended up going to my boyfriend's to celebrate but instead, I ended up feeling like if it was a normal weekend. They are very religious and don't believe in Christmas trees, nor decorations, not even wrapping their presents! I felt sad that we opened our gifts at 7am, yes am, on Christmas eve then had nothing to look forward to after the whole weekend.Nothing christmassy at all. I am sorry I am ranting here but you sure made me jelly. I am glad you guys had a great time :) And Henry looked so happy!

ReplyDeleteThese pictures show a beautiful day with wonderful memories made I am sure. My favorite is Henry hugging his toy!! Classic :) What a sweetie
I am so happy your sweet family had a blessed Christmas.
You have such a beautiful family, Danielle! I love the matching jamies, too. So cute! I know exactly how stressful making sure everyone is seen during the holidays. Now that I'm married I sometimes feel fought over and it drives me crazy. Although being loved is quite nice, I must agree. Merry Christmas and happy new year pretty lady!
ReplyDeleteChristmas is the time of celebration for everyone though it can be a little bit overwhelming at times trying to fit it all into two days.
ReplyDeletePLEASE TELL US WHERE YOUR SISTER GOT THAT BEAUTIFUL PURSE FROM...

Aw such good pics! We missed out on celebrating Christmas this year... so far anyway. Hopefully we'll celebrate this weekend when my hubs comes home from Afghanistan. Just wanted to say my son, now almost 2 1/2, has that B. drum and loves it! He recently started drumming properly, and surprised me by putting it on like a marching drum and drumming at the same time. Cutest thing everrr! Oh, and love your lace top! :)
