Clean-Eating Challenge!


My plan was to post this last night when I got home from San Francisco but guess who came down with an awful case of food poisoning? Yup. This girl. I've never had food poisoning before and it's just as awful as I thought it would be. I'm finally feeling a little better today at 2pm Arizona time, but it was a horrible plane ride home and a rough night. However, the trip was great (more on that tomorrow) and I refuse to let the second half of Sunday and today change that! :)

Remember, you don't have to get crazy; small changes are great as well, so if you want to join in but in your own way, do it! This is all about getting healthy, so any way you get there is awesome.

  2. I began a "clean eating" challenge myself, last wednesday. I cut out processed sugars, meat, dairy and gluten. I am eating as many green vegetables as I can and drinking lots of water. I've made a couple yummy recipes that are tasty. I will have to post some recipes on my blog. ;) I already have so much more energy and I'm down 6 pounds in less than a week! Woohoo! I am doing the Crazy Sexy Diet/21-day adventure cleanse by Kris Carr. -Breanne

  3. I have been eating clean for quite some time now, so it's nothing new to me. but I love the idea of this challenge and it will be great to have it so present in my mind this week :)

  4. i started this morning and i'm cutting out dairy and as much sugar as i can from my diet this week. i'm letting myself have fruit and other natural foods with sugar in them, but no sweets, no processed foods, and no alcohol. i already eat gluten-free but i'm excited to see the effect that going dairy-free will have on me.

  5. Starting this challenge next month! I'm already on a good start.
    1. I'm not sitting on my butt anymore (tumblr...pinterest...facebook,etc)
    2. since last Wednesday,I've walked 8 miles total.

    I plan on walking every Monday-Friday and taking the weekends off,but starting in February for the 'eating' part,just because that's when I get paid. I hope this made sense,haha :)

  6. I began this yesterday as it is Tuesday here in Australia!
    My first day went well and I avoided te treats and bread my partner had.

  7. I'm sorry that you were feeling so terrible. A plane ride when sick is THE worst!
    I've joined in the challenge. I had a moment of weakness this afternoon when I ate two TimBits (tiny donuts). But other then that it's going well :) I know that I'll feel better by the end of the week even with my little slip up :)

  9. I'm definitely joining in as a sort of revised continuation of my sugar-free challenge that lasted the past 2 weeks and ended today.

  10. my husband and I started "eating clean" and actually taking it seriously over the past month or so, I've always enjoyed eating healthy but honestly ate way too many "diet" foods. we are focusing on trying new foods and always having healthy snacks available.
    I made quinoa stuffed peppers a couple of days ago, check out this link for a yummy recipe!

I had been considering a sugar detox for awhile because my sugar intake was soooo out of control and making me crazy, your original post about going sugar-free really pushed me to just do it and so far so good but I was wondering...have you seen a lot of improvement in your skin? And did it get worse before getting better?

    My skin right now is horrendous. I feel like my whole face is just going to erupt or peel off at any moment. It's like ridiculously dry and oily all at once. I'm hoping it's just all the toxins getting out of my system and that it'll clear up soon:(
