You know what I'm especially grateful for this week? The sound of Henry's laughter and way his nose scrunches up just so with that extra-wide grin, hot yoga and everything it's bringing to my life, getting back to feeling one hundred percent me after a couple months of feeling one hundred percent the opposite, Ezekial cinnamon raisin toast and butter, the monthly inspiration I find in Whole Living magazine, beautiful blogs like this one and this one, thoughts of second babies swirling around in my head and the sweet the daydreams that always follow, lots of outdoor time and the way spring always makes everything feel so new, big, ripe, juicy raspberries, Hank and everything he does for us, and for English muffin pizzas (because I could eat them everyday and never, ever get sick of them). How about you?
Oh wow...what a great post. I love the 4th picture of you and Henry, happiest faces EVER!
ReplyDeleteI'm thankful for the mornings that my little miss gets me up with "mummy, i wanna eat, am hungy", for my wonderful man getting up and making me toast and roasted cheese, for vacations in the UK and visiting with all my wonderful friends and family, for having internet again after 2 weeks without, checking in on my fav blogs, for this wonderful life we are so lucky to be living and MOST of all for the health to live it.
What i'm not thankful for is the stress of having 3 months left to plan my wedding, with nothing done yet! eeeeeeeeeekkkkkk!
Thanks for this today, its 8.30am and you have just gave me motivation to start my day! THANKS!
p.s. Workout today is a possibility, no need to come to the UK just yet ;)

Amy xo
Aww thank you Amy! :)
DeleteThat last picture is too cute. You're such a happy little family. It's refreshing to see. :) Great list of things to be thankful for. Aren't English muffin pizzas the best? Baby daydreams are fun, too.
ReplyDeleteEnjoy your weekend.
Thanks Jessica! Have a great weekend too! <3
DeleteI love those pictures of you and Henry. You both look so happy. Right now I am feeling very grateful for the time I have left with just me and my little girl and for the sweet even littler girl due to be born soon. And I am choosing to still be thankful for this time even thought I just spent the last 10 minutes with my big girl while she had a complete meltdown over picking out panties.

So cute, Henry is adorable and you are so beautiful!
ReplyDeleteThis week has been eventful as my blog post details, some positive some negative but perhaps for the best and some yet to be discovered... I'm grateful for so much, but particularly the amazing polenta pie just munched :D
Thank you so much Lulu! What is polenta? I've never had it!
DeleteThis morning I am grateful that my husband woke up with my early bird boy so that I could get some sleep after the second night of sinus headaches! I am indeed thankful for the weather change, I can bring little ones out to do more fun things in thy city before the littlest one comes in a few weeks. Thankful for new friends and a renewed sence of community. Thanks for reminding me to stay grateful! As always, love your sweet posts.
ReplyDeleteThank you so much for commenting Kirstin! And what a sweet hubby to let you have that extra sleep. Henry is sleeping in a little right now and I am so grateful!
DeleteI hope your headaches go away soon. <3
mmm I'm thankful for english muffins too! I love them toasted with butter and peanut butter. Pretty much every day. :)
ReplyDeleteI live for them! hah.
DeleteHave a good weekend Liz!

Having a little boy always brings something new and crazy into everyday life. (I've also had the thought of having another baby floating around.)
ReplyDeleteI'm thankful for my little boy, Igby, who will be 15 months old on the 23rd, my sweet husband, a working a/c, weekend visits to the beach, and Sunday morning breakfast with my family.
Have a great weekend with your guys!
this morning i am grateful for my two sweet boys that are finally friends at 5 1/2 and 3, and how this morning they got up and just started playing together without any fights. their curiosity that keeps me present ("worms!" on the walk to school in the morning), their creativity in building legos (so many stairs after going to look at a new rental house with stairs), their laughter, and their sweet hugs and kisses.
ReplyDeletei'm trying to to get past my crankiness about my husband being out of town for a tattoo convention, and instead be grateful that he is doing what he loves (and how rare is that?!), and putting himself out there. i'm grateful for childcare at my gym so i can still go work it out this week, and even more grateful that parker, my 3 year old, has finally settled into spending an hour in the childcare there and i can blissfully work out.
i'm grateful for the friends i have, even if they're mostly far, not so near. and happy about the ones that i do have nearby (who invite me and the boys over for dinner not once, but twice this week with my husband gone!), and that there are nearby ones who are just as excited about desparecidos touring here in august! grateful for old friendships and silly texts. happy about portland's fabulous forecast for next week starting on sunday. because i need that sunshine.
i even got inspired

I've had a week where I'm feeling extra grateful as well, I love that it's the things I might have thought were simple before they happened that mean the most. Also, hot yoga high five! We should talk more about it, so nice talking with someone who is experincing it at the same level - and falling madly in love with it too! Xo
ReplyDeleteYou do like like you have that certain "glow" ;)
ReplyDeleteThis post made me smile in all kinds of ways. Your little boy is so adorable, a second baby?! Ah!:) Today I'm feeling grateful about classes being over for the summer. University has been extremely tough on me and I'm just SO happy to have all these months off to relax and enjoy life!
ReplyDeleteEzekiel bread with almond butter makes my list! Love your list of gratefuls and the positive, honest, upbeat tone of your writing!
ReplyDeleteI'm a longtime reader but haven't commented recently. I love this post. I'm feeling extra grateful today. After 2 years of trying, finally getting a positive pregnancy test, but having a serious scare last week... My doc told me my lil bean is healthy and has a perfect heartbeat. Music to my ears. Grateful isn't the word :)
ReplyDeleteCongratulations! We struggled with infertility as well! Sending lots of positive baby vibes your way!
DeleteDo you have a special reciepe for your English muffin pizza's?
ReplyDeleteI don't...but maybe I should do a post on my method! ;)
DeleteThe photo in the lower right hand corner is fantastic. You have a gorgeous smile! And Henry looks like he's happy to do anything with you, as long as it's with you. I love that!
ReplyDeleteashtanga yoga changed my life in so many incredible ways.. i tried to convince everyone i knew to try it because of the benifits i got out of it. i cant tell you how fun it is to hear you talk about your increasing love for it!!
ReplyDeletei just did one of those last week too!! http://ohhmerp.blogspot.com/2012/04/little-update.html
ReplyDeletelots to be happy for :)
Lots of wonderful things in this post...obviously all things Henry, but I also love Ezekiel cinnamon raisin toast (am I really the only person who has a hard time eating their other products because they taste like rocks?), raspberries are my favorite fruit, English muffin pizzas are awesome, and just found a Hot Yoga class in my area (just moved to NC) and I'm super stoked. Yoga is amazing for your mind and body.
ReplyDeleteThat last picture is just plain adorable, what a great smile! And we are grateful for all the delicious raspberries around here too, my boys could eat them by the bucketful.
ReplyDeleteIt's always great to find inspiration in the ordinary things in life and yours is no exception. Meditation (hot yoga), family, and just the little here and there's in life make me sparkle on the inside.
ReplyDeleteYour picture made me grin. I am thankful for so much but mostly my little girl whose kicking way and my love.
ReplyDeleteDani,
ReplyDeleteI LOVE English muffin pizzas! I grew up eating them all the time; my husband thinks I'm so weird!
Anyway, I really liked this post. It came at the perfect time for me, as I've been struggling with handling a lot of stress in life lately and it was great eye-opener and guided me toward more positive thinking. I very recently began blogging (and my blog is still very much under construction) and I've really found your blog to be a source of inspiration, so thank you for that :)
Anyway, I just blogged my own "Grateful" post - I'd love for you to check it out if you have the opportunity (it's much too long to post here). http://www.thelifextraordinary.com/extraordinary/2012/05/grateful.html
