Did my first little "oooooh" freak you out? I just showed it to Henry and it made him jump! But isn't he the sweetest little thing? I just want to hug and kiss him all day.
Hi guys! Okay sooo, I think I am going to try my hand at video blogging/vlogging (even though I kind of hate that word) in the next month or two. I feel totally weird about it, but whenever I watch my friend Amber's videos I really enjoy them, and she's slowly given me the courage to try it again too! I still feel a little too awkward to just talk to the camera, so I thought questions might be a good way to start. Years ago, before I had many followers on this blog I used to post weird little videos now and again (like this one and this one) but there's something about so many people watching something that makes me nervous! Whatever though, I'm going to get over it and just have fun.
So, do you have anything you'd like me to answer in my first real vlog? Ask away! Feel free to ask anything- life stuff, blog stuff, whatever- and if you want to leave it as an anonymous comment that's okay too. I'll answer them all.
do you delete comments that you don't like? and if so, why?
ReplyDeleteWhat is your daily routine like?
ReplyDeleteWhat is one piece of advice that your mother told you, that you didn't believe at the time but now find invaluable, and would tell your own daughter?
ReplyDeleteWhat is your absolute favorite thing about being a mama, and how many more children would you like to have?
ReplyDeleteWhat are some of your favorite clothing stores to brows, and do you like/wear vintage clothing?
ReplyDeleteDo you ever miss teaching in a classroom?
ReplyDeleteWhat other names do you and Hank have picked out for future children?
ReplyDeleteWhere did you get your awesome bed from? I love your headboard!
ReplyDeleteIf any of your kids got bullied in school and begged you and Hank to be home-schooled (or for any reason, really) , would you be up for it, considering you taught for 5 years?
ReplyDeletecan't wait to get your take on homeschooling Danielle!
DeleteMe neither! I actually really want to homeschool BECAUSE of teaching a summer program this summer so I'm curious to see how teaching has molded your view of it!
DeleteWould you ever let your kids spend spring break at your family's vacation house in Hawaii alone with their friends or would go with them?
ReplyDeleteWhat are some of your biggest pet peeves?
ReplyDeleteYou're so lucky to be close with your family and it seems like you all get along so well. Have you always had a good relationship with your parents and sister? If not, what changed? Your nanny is the cutest, btw!
ReplyDeleteHow did you and Hank know it was the "right time" (I know there is no such thing) to have your first baby? Also, I just finished my Master's to become a teacher. Did you always know you would be a stay at home mom? Or did you struggle with it?
ReplyDeleteI'm sorry if you've answered this question previously, but what does your husband do? I love your blog immensely so I feel like I should already know this. :/
ReplyDeleteIt's strange hearing you speak with your American accent, even though I know that you are American. I guess because when I read your blog in my head, you sound Australian. You sound like me! Just never really thought about it :)
ReplyDeletePS- I'm 11 weeks pregnant and I can't wait to have as much fun as you have with Henry.
Do your tattoos on the side of your stomach still look the same now that you've had Henry?
ReplyDeleteI'd love to know about your daily routine and how you transitioned from teaching fulltime to fulltime mamahood. I'm hoping to make the switch in the next year or so and would love any insight and tips - plus you look like you have so much fun with Henry! :)
ReplyDeleteI'd love to know what it's really like to be a stay-at-home mama! Do you have any tips you'd like to share with those thinking about making the switch?
ReplyDeleteomg you are the cutest thing EVER!!!!!!!!!!!! I hope we get to meet one day. xoxox
ReplyDeleteYour son just made my day!! :D
ReplyDeletexx love, Saar
Aww, Henry is adorable! It's so cool to see him in a video, talking and stuff, being his little Henry self.
ReplyDeleteDid you always want to get married?
I look forward to the video blog (I'm not a fan of the 'vlog' term, either, haha).
ahhhhhh....ohhhhhhhhh...sooooo cute!
ReplyDeleteSo many questions I want to ask. Eh, I want to vlog too but defo dont have the courage OR as many followers as you, so I think it would be a little pointless!
So, I guess my first question would be...how did you become so popular in this bloggie blog world??
Louise xo
Henry is a little heartbreaker. :)
ReplyDelete1. How did you build such a loyal blog following?
2. How has motherhood changed you?
3. How did you adjust from being a teacher to a stay-at-home wife and mother?
I'm a curious kitten!
I don't know how soon you plan on posting your vlog but since I'm getting married next Saturday do you have any advice for the days leading up to and the big day itself? We you able to stay centered and present in the madness? [We've been together for 8 years already and have lived together for 4 so things will settle back to normal quickly after we get back from the mini-moon (a 3 day almost stay-cation, can't afford a big glamorous trip yet!)]
ReplyDeletedo you foresee issues with henry's future friends or their parents concerning your tattoos? how do you think you will address it?
ReplyDeleteMy son is about Henry's age, and he loved watching this video! He blew kisses back to Henry.
ReplyDeleteI was wondering if you have any tips for aspiring teachers. I'm going in to my last year in teacher-training college and I still feel very insecure, especially when dealing with older pupils (16 to 18-year-olds), since I'm not that much older.
ReplyDeleteThis video is SO cute! I love Henry's copying of your 'oooooh', he sounds like such a sweetie. You have a lovely voice, I can just imagine you being a teacher.
ReplyDeleteWhat do you think your life would be like if you'd never had your precious little man?
ReplyDeleteHow is Madeline doing? She is such an adorable dog. Have she and Henry always played nicely?
ReplyDeleteI second the question about what your husband does for work- I am always wondering that when you talk about him getting him home from work! Also, I know you recently got your Sylvia Plath tattoo. But sometime earlier this year I believe, you got another tattoo. And unless I missed it, we never found out what that one was! I was curious! : )
ReplyDeleteI love this idea because it's nice to hear a 'voice' to match the one in my head! My question is about your fitness routine...you are always up early working out but you never tell us what your routine is! You're my inspiration for getting up early and starting the days off right!
ReplyDeletewhat do you usually wear for makeup?
ReplyDeletewhat is your workout routine?
ReplyDeleteSweet sweet girl. <3
ReplyDeleteI am SO excited for your vlog. You don't even know.
Love the idea of a vlog! Thanks for wanting to share more with your readers. :)
ReplyDeleteI'm so glad your doing a vlog! I have 3 questions
ReplyDeleteI have always wondered what your work thought of your tattoos when you were a teacher?
What is your all time favorite book?
and how did you get into blogging?
Love seeing all of these questions for you! Sweet little Henry melts my heart :)
ReplyDeleteyour son doesn't like being in front of camera or mac.... don't you know?
ReplyDeleteI would love to see you vlog! I've been thinking of doing that too :) A day in the life would be awesome! Just little clips of your day :)
ReplyDeleteI totally second this as well! x
DeleteI'd love to know how you feel about teaching in America. I always think that it's too constrained by requirements here in England and doesn't give us the freedom to allow the kids to explore and be creative in their education - especially in younger year groups.
ReplyDeleteI second this, I recently did work experience at a primary school and it was so different. I used to go on woodland walks to learn about nature and bake to learn about amounts. Now they just watch the teacher write on the interactive whiteboard. Is it the same in America, or do the children still have more freedom?
Deletewhat's your stance on vaccines? i know you live a very healthy lifestyle and am curious on what you do with henry. after researching nonstop, i just don't agree with all of those harmful toxins being injected into these children.
ReplyDeleteaw that is absolutely adorable! you have such a pretty voice!! its so weird to put a voice to the pictures hahaha.
ReplyDeletei dont really have any questions but i just wanted to say that! excited for your "vlog" haha
I'd love to know some health and fitness questions - what's your gym routine, what's your favourite exercise, is there any exercise you hate (and do you do it anyway)? Also I'd love to know if there is any 'healthy' food (eg veggies) you hate? Thanks! x
ReplyDeleteHe is so adorable! Danielle, what shade of lipstick are you wearing? It's very pretty.
ReplyDeleteWhere have you traveled to and is there anywhere you want to travel to in the future? As a flight attendant, I'm curious. Also, Henry is the cutest boy :)
ReplyDeleteAlso, what are your favorite movies?
DeleteA few weeks ago you said something on twitter about someone copying one of your tattoos....what tattoo did they copy and how did you find out about it?
ReplyDeleteDo you plan on reading 50 Shades of Grey at all? It's all the craze and I'm just wondering, why or or why not?
ReplyDeleteWill you vlog about how to do the bun on top of your head look? I remember you telling us that you would do a tutorial a while back but I don't think you ever got around to it! I hope so, I'm looking forward to it!!!
ReplyDeleteOn your blog we see a lot of you with your extened family. Are you as close with Hanks' side?
ReplyDeleteHow do you pronounce "apricot"?
ReplyDeleteAnd do you say "pop" or "soda"
1.A semi-morbid question haha but if you could only listen to ONE last song before you die, what would it be?
ReplyDelete2. Have you ever done anything to your hair that was absolutely crazy? Like a strange haircut or funky hair color.
3. What is your favorite thing about summer? And what is your favorite thing about Autumn?
How did you justify having so many tattoos to your parents? I have a few and really want more but my family seems to hate them and really not understand.
ReplyDeleteHe is too cute!
ReplyDeleteWhen Henry's old enough to start school, will you go back to teaching?
Do you and Hank ever fight?
ReplyDeleteDid having an income from blogging help with decision of you becoming a stay at home mom?
ReplyDeleteYour engagement/wedding band is absolutely stunning. I was wondering what size carat is it? I'd love to get a similar one.
ReplyDeleteDo you have any awesome suggestions for gifts for bridesmaids. Obviously different girls are going to like different things... But just wondering if you have any idea's for things that are similar but can still be somewhat personal to each girl? Or maybe better yet, what are some of the things you've received that you love the most!
ReplyDeleteat what age would you allow Henry to join Facebook?
ReplyDeleteI'm marrying an American (I'm English) and am moving to America. I've visited America many timed before and it's a beautiful country but I'm concerned about some things:
ReplyDeleteNo NHS. I'm used to getting free healthcare so I'm worried I'll have to compromise things love for health insurance.
Guns. Guns are illegal in England so moving to a bad neighborhood in New York City where people may have guns scares me.
Do you have any advice or do I just need to relax? What are your opinions on the above?
I didn't have the time to read all the questions, so hopefully no one has asked this yet, and I'm all cool and original :P
ReplyDeleteDid you have tattoos while you were teaching? And what was the school districts view on them if you had them? As in, were you required to cover them. Also how do you feel about how some jobs require tattoos to be covered?
Just so you know, love your tattoos!
