These are really great songs - thanks for sharing! I'm obsessed with music from American Horror Story lately: Special Death - Mirah,Nightmare - AHS Project, Twisted Nerve - Bernard Herrmann and Tonight You Belong to Me - Patience and Prudence. PS. These are all on Spotify if you have it.
1. Wrong direction - Passenger 2. Little Black Sumarines - The Black Keys (I love this band in general! I think their music is amazing!) 3. What You Know - Two Door Cinema Club 4. Radioactive - Imagine Dragons 5. Not Giving in - Rudimental ft. Alex Clare (such a beautiful song and I almost cried when I first saw the video)
My sister has been obsessing over Lana Del Rey for the past few months and has it playing constantly when she's over at my house. It's starting to grow on me.
I'm embarrassed to say that I've been obsessing over the Glee version of "Crazy / U Drive Me Crazy". oh god.
And several songs on the Hoilday's Rule album (I listen on Spotify) like: "I Heard the Bells on Christmas Day" by The Civil Wars and "We Need A Little Christmas" by AgesandAges.
Seriously if you're looking for some awesome Christmas music, go listen to that album. I love the classics, but I love these as well.
I can't stop listening to Polica, especially "Lay Your Cards Out" and "Wandering Star". They are originally from Minneapolis (where I live), but they have blown up this year. Check them out!
I love LDR!!! She gets a lot of flak, and maybe she isn't as genuine as she wants to be, but I really love her voice and style. So, people can hate all they want.
True Widow! Band is so good. Also, you don't know me Danielle but I am Barrie. I interviewed Hank for my zine about his design stuff for Hour Of The Wolf and mailed him a copy (plus a Christmas card for you two and Henry!) last week. We have never spoken but I wanted to say hello and properly introduce myself!
1) I recently bought the soundtrack to Christophe Honoré's film, Les Bien-aimés. One of my favorite songs is Qui aimes-tu. It features Chiara Mastroianni and Paul Schneider (Parks and Rec!) and it's just lovely. The film was not my favorite, but the music was great.
2) Bruno Mars, Locked Out of Heaven. I have watched this performance at least ten times. His band makes me so happy and I think he'd be tons of fun to watch in concert.
3) I always break this song out during the holidays. It's a song by a Puerto Rican group called, El Gran Combo and it's all about partying, eating, and celebrating with family.
Love the last one (mostly because I love the name Clementine!). Right now I'm obsessed with Alt J and Flume. So good.

ReplyDeleteI haven't been able to stop listening to Summer Hits of the 90s on Pandora. No new music for me these days. But you can't go wrong with 90s, right?!
ReplyDeleteI love Lana Del Rey! Great song, too!
