Weekend Links

I just shared this on IG but had to share it here too- a little Flashback Friday: Henry at my sister's wedding, right around the age Charlie is now. Can you see the resemblance? My friend Erin and I were just joking about what a little old man he looks like.

Happy Friday, friends! I wanted to start off with a little review of some pajamas that PJ Salvage sent over for me to try out. Have you worn their clothing before? They sent me the absolute softest pj set ever (hello, cotton/poly-french terry blend from heaven), and since receiving it I've gotten a few of the sets for family members' Christmas gifts too. I love that there's something for everyone- flannel, thermal, you name it and like I mentioned- they're SO comfy. You can find them at retailers like Nordstrom, or check out their website. Here is the set I received, but I also love this one.

Next, have you read this article about Facebook? The author says it's fundamentally broken and collapsing in on itself. I thought it was fascinating- it's always crazy to think "what's next?" as far as social media, etc.

You've Got Mail's Guide to NY. Yes!

Have you checked out Heart Yourself yet? It's my friend Jenny's new charity jewelry company.

Why BeyoncĂ© Kept Her New Album Secret. An interesting read.

I always love space photos

Just ordered these ankle boots on sale! Can't wait to get them.

Your kid's sad...and that's okay.

14 amazing YA books with inspirational heroines.

Important life lessons from Pinterest's top pins of 2013. "Be aggressively bland." So good.

Etsy wishlist: this pillow, this banner, this ornament, and this tassel garland.

The 22 most embarrassing pages of the 1990 J.C. Penney Christmas Catalog. Amazing.

We have nothing left to say offline.

"I've only got $60, and I need six shirts and four pairs of pants."

For the gluten-free friend (or any friend really): Lemon Christmas cookies.

Some fun posts from around the web: this hair tutorial, these beautiful vacation photos, and this cute outfit.

Love this: Before the Web, Hearts Grew Silent.

Why having a female president explained by Hillary Clinton.

My mission. And maybe yours too.

The BEST last-minute gift for the coffee lover in your life (Hank-approved).

And finally, Suck and Blow: The Oral History of the Clueless Party Scene.

Have a wonderful weekend! xoxo

  1. From the bottom of my heart, I would like to thank you for that JCPenney link. It is nothing short of awesome.

    1. Haha SO glad you liked it. I found it and was dying. It's amazing!

  2. you've gotta read the book thief! and then go see the movie! because both are amazing :)

    1. I'm starting it soon- I can't wait! I've been meaning to read it forever <3

  3. Loved the Pinterest article & it's comments... and of course I ended up spending the next fifteen minutes on Pinterest...

    1. Ugh...I think that's ALWAYS how it goes! ;)

  4. I was definitely nodding my head in agreement with all the books in that article. I need to reread a lot of those! Dealing with Dragons, everything Tamora Pierce has written, etc. I'm about halfway through Allegiant right now. Have you read it yet?? Thoughts?

    1. I'm halfway through it too- I got kind of bored and put it down but I think it had more to do with my life at the time...I need to pick it back up!

  5. I love your weekend links so much. Always such gold in these posts.

  6. What a dapper little dude! Henry and Charlie totally look alike!

    1. Thank you Jessica! I am starting to see it SO much too! It's pretty neat <3

      Happy holidays, lady!

  7. Good evening!
Soldiers of the Royal Marines which I get on Christmas song of Mariah Carey and sing happily and dance it.
    Marine navigates it.
Overjoyed at the prospect of returning to the UK for Christmas, HMS Ocean's crew decided to make a festive video to the tune of Mariah Carey's All I Want For Christmas Is You.

  8. That "You've Got Mail" link gave me the feels. I worked on 92nd Street and West End for three years, so I know and love every one of those places. We released butterflies at the 91st St. garden and I have squeezed into tiny tables with way too many people at Cafe Lalo. Oh, memories.

  9. thank you sweet lady for including me! wishing you the happiest of new years!
