Weekend Links

First of all, I can't say thank you enough to all of you who participated in this week's Journal Day. I can't wait to spend some time this weekend visiting all of your blogs and reading what you shared. Thank you for being a part of this!

This week I have a ton of links to share, but I first wanted to share a special bracelet from my long time blog pal Kathleen's Etsy shop. Azadouhi Jewelry is full of beautiful jewelry handmade by Kathleen, and I was so touched to receive a bracelet and necklace from her collection. The name of her shop, Azadouhi ("Ah-zaad oo-hee"), means free woman in Armenian- isn't that beautiful? She has SO many amazing handmade items and I think my current favorite piece (besides the two items I own) would be this gorgeous necklace. And even better, she's offering 20% off your order with code "sometimessweet20." Visit her shop here, and check out Azadouhi's Instagram too. Thank you Kathleen!

Some more wonderful things around the web this week:

Voting ends tonight, and I'm so close to making it to the final round. Would you mind throwing a vote my way if you're so inclined? It just takes a second. I feel silly asking, but it's a fun way to reach out and meet more why not, right? Thank you so much guys!

My favorite skinny jeans for Henry, on super sale.

Read this: Don't Tell Me I'm Beautiful

Wow- here are American's 5 most miserable states.

I can't wait to dive into this book.

WhatsApp is all over tech news this week and for good reason- it's fascinating stuff!

Whoa...Full House: The Complete Series on mega, mega sale.

Everything's that's wrong with our "30 Under 30" obsession.

And finally- yay, Ellen Page! So happy for you...and you totally made me cry. Everyone, please watch the video.

Have a great weekend!

  1. Ah I get so excited whenever I see you mention me on here, thank you!!
Also, the Ellen Page video made me cry too, so so wonderful!
Aaaand I will be purchasing that Full House box set, way to good a price to pass up!

  2. What a great list of things for me to look at :) And can I tell you that I introduced my husband to Hank's coffee blog and he is hooked! He has a major coffee obsession, and loves his Aeropress more than words can describe! haha

  3. Good links! Everyone should read the Don't Tell Me I'm Beautiful article.

  4. Love these. I share an alma mater with Jon Meacham who wrote the article about the presidents. He just gave a speech at sewanee that was streamed live on the same topic. Fascinating!

  5. love all of these links! thanks for sharing, as for full house on mega sale, I should probably purchase, now that my 3 & 4 year old are carrying on my obsession!

  6. i live in alabama, one of the most miserable states, but i completely disagree with it. i have traveled around, and i can't imagine being anywhere else. there's no place like home. :)

  7. That jewelry is beautiful! I'm also loving WhatsApp. I downloaded it almost a year ago, but I haven't used it until recently. One of my girlfriends moved to Holland and it's been wonderful to text back and forth without worrying about international plans and all of that nonsense.

It is so hard for me to give up on the "stuff I need to do before I'm 30" thing. I'm learning to let go, but it still stresses me out when I think about it for too long. I think I'm just scared knowing that I can die at any moment and I don't feel like I have a lot to show for it. I don't need to be a millionaire, but I would love to be in a stable career. I don't need to have tons of kids, but I want to be able to have at least one in the next few years in the hopes that my parents will be able to spend enough time with them as possible. That sort of stuff.

  8. What a great set of links! Unfortunately I live in the 5th most miserable state, apparently? I'm quite happy though, and most people I know here are as well.

  9. Ellen Page made me bawl my eyes out, it was such a beautiful speech! So proud of her!

  10. So so many great links! I haven't linked through all of them yet but I loved the "Don't tell me I'm beautiful" one. I'll be reading more of these over the next few days when I have time, thanks for sharing!
