9 Books to Add to Your Summer Reading List

It's almost summer and with that comes a renewed excitement for reading...at least for me! Ever since I was a child I've enjoyed making and completing summer reading lists. And in the spirit of that excitement, here is my first installment of some great picks. I'll be back in a week or so with part two. Enjoy!

Happy reading! xoxo

  1. Looks like a great list of books to read, I adore Meg Rosoff and Jodi Picoult so will definitely be adding both of those to my to be read list! I hope you don't mind Danielle but I just wanted to ask whether/when you're thinking of bringing back Journal Day? I really enjoyed participating but of course, no pressure, just wanted to ask!

    1. Thanks Anna! :) And thanks for the Journal Day question- someone asked me yesterday on IG too! I actually have a prompt scheduled for this Sunday! I get so burned out so I needed to take a break before I ended up wanting to end it permanently! haha. I'm excited to restart it though. <3

  2. I've read How I live Now and I thought it was really good, a little different to most books I read but I really enjoyed it. I'll be adding the other to my ever growing to read list. Love the front cover of "let's pretend this never happened", definitely got my attention x

  4. Oh man, by the time I add all the books I want to read this summer to my list, it's going to turn into not only a summer reading list, but a fall and winter reading list too ;) I am always guilty about judging a book by it's cover and I am in love with the How I Live Now cover, so I might have to add it to my amazon cart just because of that. HA. Breaking Trail sounds right up my ally too! Thanks for the suggestions :)

  10. I've read all of the Selection books and Jodi Picoult is my favorite author!!! I love the books you have picked out for the Summer reading list!!! I need to pick some of them up! I honestly didn't think I was going to like the Selection since it is similar to the Bachelor (tv show) but I seriously couldn't put it down! and they just came out with the 3rd book (The One) and its so good! Thanks for sharing!

  14. I will definitely check out these books. You should check out "Me Before You" by JoJo Moyes. It is hands down my favorite book I've read recently. It's one of those books that I wish never ended. One of those books that I wish the author was my best friend so I could ask him what happens next.

  17. That's an excellent list. As I work in publishing I've read many books coming out this summer already. I highly recommend the new Haruki Murakami.
