Sometimes Sweet in 2018

2018! It's here. And I'm so excited. This next year I have some fun plans for this blog, and I hope you will continue along on this ride with me. First of all- why am I here? I've asked myself that question over the past few months as I've thought about whether or not I wanted to commit to continue sharing here in the new year. I've been here for a long, long time with different ups and downs. Some years I've blogged consistently and others (like the last two), more infrequently, but regardless, I've always had a pull to be here.

Moving into this next year though, examining the "why" is important to me. First and foremost, I want to keep sharing. My biggest why is because I love it. I enjoy posting here when I do, and I actually want to share more! As I've grown and evolved I I love being able to have this space outside of my everyday work. I work IN the blogging and social influencer space, so at times it can feel overwhelming and just another "thing" to do, but more than anything it's a wonderful retreat to revisit what's important to me. I want to do a much better job at sharing all of the ideas that pop into my mind and also recreate this space as a resource for women who want to find inspiration, advice, or just want to read an essay or two.

I feel grateful for this site. I started this blog as a newlywed ten years ago, and so much has changed over the course of a decade. Moving forward I want to continue to tell my story, but also share things that you guys want to see too, and create a good mix of interesting things I love, all in a newly-designed space (coming in early 2018). Yes!

So here's to this new year- I have SUCH a truly good feeling about it and I can't wait to see what 2018 has in store. Again, thanks for being here.

And before you go- will you leave me a comment of one thing you'd like to read MORE of here in 2018?

  1. Hello and happy new year! I love all your content, but look forward to weekly links and family outtings posts. As a mom of 3, it gives great inspiration on what to do with my kiddos.

  2. I have been following your blog since Henry was just a teeny baby, and I really miss the more personal stuff! Links to browse are great, and Sponsored content I just ignore (sorry!) but when you post about the thoughts in your head and random life things, I find it inspiring! I look forward to some deeper posts from you here :)

  3. i love everything you post about basically but i LOVE your book recommendations!! always have, always will <3.

  4. I’ve been a long time follower since before you had Henry. I enjoy all your posts but my favorite are the random ones of your thoughts on parenting and life. I would love more of those type of posts.

  5. I absolutely love hearing more personal things from you such as relationships, and love!

  6. I love the daily life aspect you sometimes share. I know it's probably hard to juggle what to share and what not to with kiddos, but those posts are always so sweet!!!
I also enjoy your link roundups!!

  7. Hi Dani!
Can you do a post about your recent fitness journey? I'm really interested in this macro counting thing ;-)
I also just wanted to say, that I really really love your blog and your writing style. I have been following you since you were pregnant with Henry. I always liked the "currently"-posts as well as posts about a specific topic (like becoming a mother, body positivity or staying positive during hard times and so on). I'm also interested in a morning/evening routine with three kids. That would be great. But please just share what you really want to.

I'm really looking forward to Sometimes Sweet in 2018 :)

    All the best from Germany!

(P.S. Sorry for any grammar mistakes ;))

  8. I'm so interested to learn about your fitness changes this year, especially with counting macros. How were you able to stay dedicated without feeling like a maniac counting and measuring everything you ate? It seems like it works for everyone who commits to it, but it just sounds so miserable to be counting and logging food all the time!

  9. I love hearing about kid related stuff! I have kids around the same ages as your younger two, and it's fun to get ideas about things to do with them. I also love seeing photos of all your hikes and your town. It makes me want to visit Arizona!

  10. I always loved the journal days posts. They were so interesting to read & pushed me to answer some super interesting questions myself, or at least think about them. I loved your responses!
